Top coats form the final finish of a coating system. As their name suggests, top coats take on the decorative function in the entire coating structure and completely conceal the substrate. In addition to the visual appearance, top coats also perform various protective functions for the underlying coating structure, such as corrosion protection or scratch resistance, high weather and UV resistance, chemical and solvent resistance.
Two-component top coats are often used for higher requirements. Various functions can be specifically adjusted via the hardener component.
